Property Tax Legal Seminar
17th Annual Seminar Set in San AntonioNew property tax laws and court decisions head the list of topics at the 17th Annual Legal Seminar on Ad Valorem Taxation at the San Antonio Hyatt Regency Riverwalk Hotel on August 27-29, 2003.
The program also will focus on renditions, exemptions, rural land issues, delinquent tax collections, and lien avoidance and default.
Seminar speakers will be attorneys from major Texas law firms and other professionals in the property tax field.
The State Bar Property Tax Committee and the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University jointly sponsor the seminar. The following groups are being asked to grant education credit for attending:
- State Bar of Texas (MCLE),
- Texas Board of Legal Specialization (CLE),
- Texas Real Estate Commission (MCE),
- Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation,
- Board of Tax Professional Examiners,
- Institute for Professionals in Taxation,
- State Board of Public Accountancy,
- American Society of Appraisers,
- American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, and
- Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board.
The seminar costs $295 for those who pre-register and $325 for those registering at the door. A reception will be held on the evening of August 27, and the seminar program begins on August 28 and concludes at noon on August 29. Seminar space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
