The Comptroller's office is pleased to launch a new version of WebFile for insurance premium taxpayers. This fast, easy and secure Web-based system allows you to electronically file your insurance premium tax report and submit payment (by credit card, electronic check or via TEXNET).
About This Tax
A tax is imposed on an insurance company that transacts insurance business in Texas without a license to do so from the Texas Department of Insurance. If not paid by the due date, the tax is a liability of the insurer, the agent and the insured.
