Texas Comptroller RSS feeds
Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is an XML-based format for content distribution. The Texas Comptroller's office currently offers two RSS feeds for use in news readers: one for news in English and one for news in Spanish. These feeds include news releases, podcasts and links back to the Comptroller's Web site. We are currently using RSS 2.0.
How to access RSS feeds
There are a number of ways to access RSS feeds. You can install a news reader that displays RSS feeds from the Web sites you select, enabling you to view hundreds of headlines at once. After installing the news reader, you can add each feed manually from the Web site by copying the news feed address and pasting it into your reader. News readers provide an option to subscribe to a feed so you will automatically receive updates.
An alternative to downloading a dedicated news reader is to use a Web-based news reader. Some newer browsers allow you to click on a news feed link to display the feeds. Many commercial content providers now allow users to add RSS feeds directly to their personal pages.
