CAPPS HR/Payroll Production

CAPPS HR/Payroll Production (HRPRD) will be unavailable during regularly scheduled maintenance hours on Sunday, May 19, from 5 a.m. to noon to allow for annual AIX 6.1 patching.

CAPPS HR/Payroll Non-Production Environments

The following non-production environments will be unavailable from 6 a.m. on Friday, May 17, through 6 a.m. on Monday, May 20, to perform a data refresh (from production) on the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environment:

• HRUAT – UAT Human Capital Management Environment
• ELMUAT – UAT Enterprise Learning Management Environment

FSUAT will be unavailable from 5 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14, through 7 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15.

CAPPS Financials Production (FSPRD), Maintenance (FSMNT) and Sandbox (FSSBX) environments will be available during this time.

State agencies and institutions of higher education no longer need to fax or email a request to Payment Services to send the warrant(s) to Treasury Operations for wire transfers. Agencies enter the new payment distribution types for special pulls directly in the PDT field in USAS during transaction entry.

This application change request (ACR) also allowed USAS to better sort warrants, added a field to the Agency Profile (DØ2) and included the new warrant sort keys in the Daily Warrant Transmittal Report (DAFR3671).

USAS Reference (FPP Q.012) has been updated with the new Payment Distribution Types (PDTs) and Warrant Sort Keys and Distribution.

USAS Coding Instructions (FPP Q.010) reflects that the DØ2 now displays the agency’s primary warrant distribution method in the DIST field as submitted on the Agency Authorization for Warrant Pickup (74-189) form.

The upgrades are necessary to maintain the highest level of Oracle support and prepare these environments for the upgrade to PeopleSoft 9.2 and PeopleTools 8.53.

Reconciling direct deposit payments is now easier than ever with the Search State Payments Issued Web application. This application includes helpful features for individual users:

• Beginning Sept. 1, 2013, the online processing fee (comptroller object 3879) must be separated from the permit, license, tax or other fee that is being collected.
• A new section explains why Texas.gov transactions may post to default funds, requiring the agency to manually generate a payment to the Texas.gov contractor.
